GRUNDTVIG walk

Our GRUNDTVIG walk was organised by the Portuguese partners for parents and students participating in the  LIFE project.
Everyone walked about 12 Km, from the shores of Ovil river, one of the rivers that flows in the Baião municipality, until the oak forest of Reixela, one of the last authoctonous  oak forests in Europe.
In the forest a picnic and a set of games and physical activities in the open air were organised and everyone joined in.
This activity brought, again, families closer together, since parents and children shared a number of outdoor activities that also raised environmental awareness.

Again, kids and teenagers were taken away from TVs and computers and learnt that activities within nature can also be fun...

GRUNDTVIG Summer camp
Our GRUNDTVIG Summer camp took place from the 22nd to the 24th June, in Celorico de Basto, Portugal.
The participants were young kids who have more than once been included in our LIFE project's activities.
During the camping event, playful activities, traditional games, karaokes, swimming,  nature exploitation and guidance activities  took place.

The setting of the camp, the food preparation and the organisation of the activities were carried out by both students and organisers and in  the last day of the event the families joined the students and participated in the planned activities.

It was another good example of an activity which brought young children and teenagers closer to their parents and siblings and which raised environmental awareness.
