Easter Activities

Before the Easter break, the Portuguese school grouping of Vale de Ovil, Baião, reunited teachers, students, staff in general and parents to share a few hours together.

The first Activity was in Orientation and Mobility Practice. It gathered people from all genders and ages pursuing clues and running along the school trying to figure out the maps that were distributed to teams. There was also some climbing involved: kids loved it.

After that, everybody joined together to paint a giant Easter Egg, though this task was mainly carried out by the youngest...

Another great day spent at school, but this time, outside the classrooms and doing something else besides... having classes.

Cribs Contest

Within the GRUNDTVIG LIFE project the portuguese School Grouping of "Vale de Ovil", Baião, carried on a "cribs contest", built by its students and their families. We had 95 cribs that participated in this contest, which were afterwards publicly exhibited in the town center.
The idea for this event was of winning back an old tradition and of promoting the reuse of materials, in a way to call society upon for environmental matters.
The cribs were built out of plastic, corks, styrofoam, wood, paper.

An interesting activity with an important purpose.
Astronomic Observation

School Grouping of "Vale de Ovil" (Baião, Portugal) promoted on the 3rd February 2012 a lecture about cosmos and planetary systems and an astronomic observation session of different celestial objects wandering through space.

At the same time, our students (young and adults) and parents involved in our GRUNDTVIG Life Project sent messages inside ballons calling on people for a more sustainable future.
All these activities took place on school grounds.
